Laboratory for Computer Security and Digital Forensics

Faculty of Computer Science, University "Goce Delčev" - Štip

ABOUT

The Laboratory for Computer security and Digital Forensics is part of the Faculty of Computer Science, University "Goce Delčev" in Štip. It started in 2012. Our work has considered a variety of topics as:

  • Computer Security
  • Web Security
  • Network Security
  • Software Security
  • Database Security
  • Mobile Security
  • Digital Steganography
  • Digital Watermarking
  • Digital Forensics
  • Data Recovery
  • Cryptography and cryptanalysis
  • Our main mission is to improve the current state of computer security and digital forensics, through research and teaching, but also to raise awareness of different groups about cybersecurity and different threads on the Internet. The Laboratory offers several different services:

  • Security scanning of web applications and web sites
  • Networks security scanning
  • Cybersecurity training, secure programming training
  • Recovering of deleted and lost data from different media
  • Forensic analysis for civil and judicial needs, etc.
  • Computer Security

Computer security (or Cybersecurity) is the science how to keep computing systems functioning as intended and free of abuse, and keep data we care about accessed only as desired, in the presence of an adversary.

    Digital Forensics

Digital forensics is a branch of forensic science encompassing the recovery and investigation of material found in digital devices, often in relation to computer crime.
